I grew up with parents where sports were never forced on me. I had to be the one to go after something if I wanted it, they'd be there for me, but if I didn't do anything, they wouldn't force something on me. My mom had played high school and college volleyball and loved it, and still does, but can't play as well ever since she played on a team with men and women combined, and hit the ball the wrong way, leaving her shoulder and arm in constant pain no matter how much physical therapy or messages she gets.
I'm a great candidate because I know what it means to work hard and be dedicated to something. If I'm doing something, I do it full throttle or not at all. I'm positive and an amazing team player. I take criticism extremely well because I know it's not meant to hurt me, only to help me. I was in dance when I was younger and have missed being on a team.
I'm an honor roll student and work very hard to keep the grades I have up. I've even started a study account on Instagram, to help me stay motivated and see what other students are doing to help them with their own grades. I have high expectations of my self and keep my goals just above reach, always aiming for the highest I can be.
I'm excited for the years to come and know that a lot of improvement and experiences is bound to follow!
