My name is Jordan Franklin and I am 5’9” setter/hitter/defensive player from Bluffton, SC. To some 5'9" may not seem tall enough but keep in mind that Lindsey Berg is only 5'8"! My goal is to find a college/university that will meet my academic needs and afford me the opportunity to continue playing a sport that has become a major part of who I am. I am an athlete and have been playing both school and club volleyball for 5 seasons as well as soccer, both school and club, for over ten years. Every time I walk on the court at practices, games, and tournaments I give all of me with 100%+ and I always play with “heart”. I am very dedicated to my team and coaches. During the last three years, I have been a starter, playing all around in both offensive and defensive positions. My current club team, Lowcountry 17 National, will be attending the National Championship Tournament in Dallas, Texas this summer. Throughout this season we have traveled and played in VA, NC, GA, FL, and of course SC. I will play any position that benefits my team, for example I originally started this club season setting in a 6-2 and hitting right side, but we needed my defensive and hitting skills so we ran a 5-1 and I hit outside. I am our team’s captain, have a great attitude, and I love to have fun both on and off the court. I was named to the Palmetto Region All Region Team I this past season. I have been playing on Bluffton High School’s Varsity Volleyball team since my freshman year and have been running a 6-2 with me setting and hitting outside, was captain this past year, received our team’s MVP award, was named to the all-region team two years in a row, selected 4A Region 8 Player of the Year, and named to the 4A All State Team. I was also recently named as the Island Packet Volleyball MVP. I am a member of the National Honors Society with a current 3.8 GPA, taking two Advance Placement courses this year with three more scheduled for my senior year. I am open to all opportunities in all divisions. I would like to stay near my southern roots, but am not opposed to relocating elsewhere. My plans for my major are in either in the medical field or criminal justice. I am excited for my college experience and know that I will be at the right school with the right coach and team.
