A little bit about me...my name is Kate Renfrow and I am 16 years old and my absolute favorite thing to do is play volleyball! I've been playing since I was 11 years old. I started playing because I was always the tall girl with a lot of energy, so my mom put me in a volleyball academy and that was it-I was hooked! The more I started to enjoy the sport the more time I spent at the Upward Volleyball facility getting lessons from different coaches, always trying to find ways to get better! I started playing travel ball when I was 13 and have made some really great friends along the way! I am naturally a shy person, so playing travel volleyball has really helped me be comfortable in my own skin and has given me a place to make some life long friends in addition to learning some major life skills.
I take school just as serious as I take volleyball. I go to Dorman High School in Roebuck, SC. I am ranked 59/887 in my class with a GPA of 4.92. I take mostly honors classes and I am very driven when it comes to my academics. I'm not sure exactly what I want to major in, but I think I want to do something in the medical field, so maybe biology?? I have taken a lot of hands on classes at my school and I just find it all so fascinating how all of our different body systems all work together...it's amazing!
