My goal is to attend a small college or university with a Criminal Justice and/or Psychology majors to play volleyball. When I was in the 8th grade, I told my parents I wanted to play college volleyball. That conversation led me to transfer to Gray Collegiate Academy for my freshman year which offered a challenging academic environment and a more competitive volleyball experience. Academically, all my classes are Honors High School courses or Dual Enrollment College courses. Athletically, it moved me from playing at a small private school to a team that is consistently ranked in the top 10 of our state classification. Socially, I left a school where most of my friends and I had been together since kindergarten. The decision to attend Gray Collegiate Academy means a 45-minute one way drive to school every day. After making the JV volleyball team as a freshman I began playing at Intense Volleyball Club which is 1 hour from my home. Volleyball practice at Gray often starts at 6 a.m., which is a 5 a.m. out the door each morning. Travel ball often ends at 9 p.m., I get home around 10 p.m. each night of practice. I believe I am a person who is committed to goals. I have worked hard over the last two and half years to maintain a balance between school, volleyball, driving extra miles for these opportunities while still hanging out with my old friends and new friends. In my family we have a motto PAB. It means Play Hard, Accept Coaching and Be a Great Teammate. I believe I represent that motto.
