Hello my name is TyAnn Mortenson and I am currently a Sophomore at Faith High School. I am a 3 sport athlete in track, volleyball, and basketball. I have been on the varsity track team since 8th grade and qualified for the State B Track Meet in discus my freshman season. I have been on the varsity volleyball team and a starter since my 8th grade year playing multiple positions. We have made it to the SoDak 16 two out of the past three seasons. For basketball, I have been on the varsity team since my 7th grade year and a starter since my 8th grade year. My 7th grade season we made it to the State B Basketball Tournament and won our first game putting us in the final 4 before COVID canceled the tournament. My 8th grade year we made it to the SoDak 16 and my Freshman season we made it to state winning the first round and losing by 2 in double-overtime in the second round, finishing the tournament in 4th place. My Sophomore year has been a rebuilding year for our team but I was the leading scorer and played multiple positions. During the past 2 summers I have played for Arete, an AAU team out of North Dakota. This summer I am playing some for Sacred Hoops and then playing summer league with my high school team. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA in school and recently was inducted into National Honor Society. I am also involved in FFA and Student Council.
