My name is Amayah Day, and I'm a 16 year-old junior from Clarksville,TN.
I am very focused on playing at the collegiate level. I attend training every day that varies from team practices to private workouts, and speed/agility training. I am very dedicated to volleyball, and I also played basketball my freshmen.
I've been playing Volleyball for 4 years, and basketball for 6 years. My notable accomplishments are MIP(Most Improved Player) for Clarksville Academy Girls JV Basketball Team, Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) 3.5 GPA Merit Award, and Clarksville Academy 3.5 GPA Honors Award. I have won Most Likely to Become a Coach Award during my club season.
After this Fall season I plan to join CVC(Clarksville Volleyball Club) for my club season. I have already made connections with coaches there. I will be participating in their Sunday Skills Program to get additional training with their coaching staff. I believe joining this team, and making these connections will help to progress my career in volleyball.
I will make an amazing addition to your team because I am dedicated, smart, practical, and very athletic. I believe that there is no such thing as perfect, as there is always something you can work to improve on, even if it's something you've "mastered". I believe even the professional players have to continue to work on perfecting their skills. I am very coachable, and I strive to be a motivator to my team. In the moments where my team needs leadership, I never let us get down because its all about having a strong mentality.
The dedicated amount of time I put into volleyball is the same amount of time I put into my studies. The classes I take such as Math, English, Science, and History, are Honors and/or Dual courses. I'm a member of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), as I plan on becoming a future neurosurgeon and neuroscientist. I am also a regional teen director for an organization called MentorMeGlobal and run this organization as a club at Kirkwood High School(my school)! I received my first Honor Roll award when I was 8yrs old, and I've continued to receive the award each year.
Please keep me in mind for your class of 2026 roster! I will make an amazing addition to your team.
Sincerely,
Amayah Day
