In college, I plan to get a degree in psychiatry and pursue volleyball. I am a qualified candidate because I can balance my personal, academic, and athletic life as well as succeed in time management. A characteristic of mine that stands out is my perseverance to push and work myself through any situation. Throughout my volleyball years, I have been in a school that is on the lower level of athletic and academic abilities with a coaching staff that worked volunteer hours. However, this set back taught me to never give up no matter the circumstances. Playing up to my competitor's level, I was capable of joining the same club team as them and use their knowledge on court to push me further. Academic wise, I set a goal for myself to maintain a 4.0 and challenge myself to DE/ AP courses. There is not a test I don't study for nor an assignment I forget. I believe time management and willingness to want to learn new information says a lot about someone's character; so, I took this belief and held myself up to my ideals and standards.
