My name is Mya Hathaway and I am looking to play college volleyball again. I was a freshman on the 2022 - 2023 Chattanooga State volleyball roster. I did not play for Chattanooga State in the 2023-2024 season but am preparing to graduate from Chattanooga State here in May with an Associate Degree in General Studies with a Business Management concentration. I am very interested in continuing my education and playing volleyball at a 4 - year college. I have been working hard in the gym this year and feel I still have much to offer both on and off the court. I am looking for an opportunity to receive my Bachelor's Degree while being a supportive and encouraging teammate and playing the game that I love and miss. I have gained much knowledge and experience both on and off the court at Chatt State and look forward to sharing my passion with others.
During this past year, I was also a coach for a 15's travel team, a part of the club program, Anthem United out of Georgia. I was able to learn a lot about the other side of coaching and how to communicate effectively with teammates.
I finished my Senior year at Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, TN. and played travelball at MidTN in Murfreesboro, TN. I get excited and competitive when it comes to winning on the court - I am passionate, hardworking, and versatile and I will always give 110% to make every play a winning point.
I am dedicated to succeeding in sports, academics and life, and I look forward to achieving these goals while not only making myself better but making those around me better. I appreciate you taking the time to review my profile and read my personal statement.
Respectfully,
Mya Hathaway
