Bryn White '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Bryn White, I am in the graduating class of 2021 . I attend Nashville Big Picture High School. I am looking for a college that will give me a good college experience and playing time.

I became interested in volleyball my 6th grade year. Unfortunately, I didnt make the team my 6th or 7th grade year but I was determined to make the team my 8th grade year.  I worked hard, I practiced everyday to ensure that I would be good enough to make the team the next year. When 8th grade year came, I made the team. I was determined to be the best and most hardworking player. My dad also told me, "You have to work for everything you want, nothing is handed to you." 

I went on to highschool to play my 9th and 10th grade year. When my 11th grade year caame around, I didn't make the team. I was very confused on why I didn't make the team, but I didn't let that hold me back. I had played club volleyball my 9th abnd 10th grade year also. When I found out that I didn't make the team, I reached out to my club, and asked if there were any practices/sessions I could attend to make sure I stayed in shape for club season. I practiced every Monday & Thursday after my physical thearpy  until we had club tryouts. I learned a new spot (which is now my primary spot), fixed my bad habits and learned how to be more coachable. I made the 18-3 team. I couldn't believe that my hardwork paid off. My goal is to always improve. I am not 100% good at anything, there is always room to improve.
