I have been playing volleyball l since I was 9 years old. From the first time I stepped on the court I have aspired to play volleyball at the collegiate level. Playing college volleyball has always been a dream of mine and I have done everything possible to get to that point. I am a very competitive player and always push my team mates to be the best they can be. I give my all on the court and push myself to be the hardest working athlete in the gym even before I walk in the doors. The opportunity to play at a collegiate level would be a life changing thing for me in a positive way.
I have good hands, I always hustle no matter what the task is, I can pass well, I can read the court and observe everything before I decide who to set, I am always thinking ahead and constructing good plays. I am a team leader and lead by example, but never fail to encourage my team mates at all times. I am very coachable and assist my coach with practice and always strive to push my self and my team mates to be the best they can be and to rise to the full potential. I always strive to outwork everyone in the gym and always have the greatest attitude.
I work hard year round pushing myself to be a better volleyball player and athlete by participating in club volleyball and high school volleyball. I also participate in high school basketball, and up until now have played AAU basketball. I also participate in weightlifting and performance training that helps with gaining strength and increasing my vertical and my agility. All these things have contributed to my athleticism.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I am excited to take two college courses next year and be inducted into National Honor Society. Our school does not provide these things until our 11th grade year, so that is why I am not involved with these classes at the moment. I plan to take my ACT and SAT in the spring. I volunteer with junior league basketball and activities at my church. I am excited to work in the spring with a photographer and assist her. I am very passionate with all that I do including all these additional things and always strive to give my very best.
When I think about my expectations for a college I ultimately want to be challenged in the classroom and on the court. I am open to anything and want explore all the great colleges out there. I want a college that will match the highest level of competition. I want to be a great role model for my peers and team mates. I want to be great for my community and make my parents and coaches proud.
