All my life I have been around volleyball, it has been such an amazing escape for me. I became interested in volleyball when I was about 8, my mom coached my Kids Inc. years and I absolutely loved it and ever since then I have played. My mom and dad have been really supportive throughout the years that I have been playing and they have pushed me pretty hard to succeed and to get better every time I play. I would definitely say they have influenced me, I am the person I am today because of them being there for me even when I didn't always like it. They have always supported me.
The starting of my sophomore year I tore my ACL during team camp, that took a bunch of my confidence away. I was getting a rhythm down and volleyball was finally starting to click with me, but just like that it was taken away from me. It has taken about a year for me to get back into rhythm. It was a huge obstacle for me to overcome, I am now playing without my knee brace and getting back my confidence to gaining leadership skills. I learned during the year I couldn't play, never take anything for granted. Nothing is ever handed to you for free so you must work for it!
I find myself to be pretty hilarious, I love to laugh, I love talking to people and I am always smiling. I have a big heart for this game.
