My name is Daisy Palmer and I am a 5’8 Setter/RS. I currently attend the Austin Waldorf School where I play for my High School’s Varsity team and I also play for Austin Performance Volleyball. I will be graduating in the spring of 2020.
I can’t imagine my life without sports. I play volleyball in spring, basketball & club volleyball in winter, so I am a year-round athlete. There is nothing I love more than working hard. I am committed to bettering myself everyday academically and athletically. I hope to pursue sports journalism in college and I am currently producing my own Sports Podcast as part of a senior project.
Many coaches have told me that I bring a lot of energy to the court. I am loud and good at communicating. I shake off my mistakes easily and bounce back quickly. I take coaches direction well and make changes efficiently. I would consider myself a very coachable athlete.
This past school Season, I was blessed to have made First Team All State, First Team All District, and All Tournament Team but sadly we suffered a heartbreaking 5 set loss in the TAPPS 2A state final. I am proud of my leadership skills, and I am also a team player. I understand how everyone’s different roles affect the game. If I was given the honor to be on your team, I feel that I would make a positive impact.
