Alyssa Rodriguez '20 Recruiting Profile

        Hi my name is Alyssa Rodriguez. I'm 17 years old and I go to school at Calallen High School, in Corpus Christi Texas. I am currently a junior  and going to graduate in the year of 2020. 

         I'd like to tell you a little more about myself  everyone seems to know me as being very strong willed and I'm always trying to give it my best. At least I try but I think there's always room for improvement. Once I set my mind on something there's nothing stopping me not even my height!

        I'm a two sport athlete, playing volleyball and softball. Coming into highschool I set goals and was determined on making varsity, no matter how hard it was,  I did and I helped lead my team to regional quarterfinals in the playoffs my freshman year. I also made varsity softball. I'm a quick learner and very fast on my feet. Being the youngest player on my team  was a great  impact  because I always felt I needed to try harder competing with upper classmen, it  was an awesome experience as a freshman, they taught me so much! 

       I also play club volleyball, I'm team captain and I love helping and teaching some of the new girls out. We are "ONE "there is no "I "in team work. It's been my dream playing college volleyball and there's nothing stopping me I will try my best if I'm not on the court playing I'm always doing something to improve in the game each day.  

     One thing I try just as hard on and of the court are my grades. I’ve set my goal to try and be top ten when I graduate, I’m currently ranked 19 so I have work to do!  I received All Academic my freshman and sophomore year. This year I also was inducted to NHS and SNHS. 

       If you recruit me you will not be let down I’m coachable eager to learn, hard worker, quick on my feet and aggressive when playing. I try my hardest not to let any ball hit the floor, I hustle if I need to set the ball and one of the strongest servers on my team.  Thank  you for taking the time to view my profile!
