First off I wanted to say hello, my name is Briana Kipp, and I strive to be a student athlete in College. I am 6'2, still growing, and 16 years old. I have been playing volleyball since 5th grade, and club since 7th. On Excels 15 top team during nationals I received the All Tournament team award (all star team) for nationals. You receive the award by standing out in your skill level, working hard, good stats and by impressing the judges who are secretly walking around watching you. It was such an accomplishment and honor, it was one of my happiest moments as an Athlete. This year my club team, Skyline 16 Black, won natioanls and took first place in the USA division. What makes me different is that I always give 100 percent every practice and tournament, I never give up, and I am also known as the one that is most encouraging and brings the most momentum to the court (I am very positive and intense). Not only do I do year around volleyball, I also run year round varsity track and field. We work out and condition A LOT, which helps me always be in shape and ready for volleyball. I do vertical training a lot also, which has improved my vertical so much. Next year I will be in multiple Honors classes and continually push myself mentally and physically. Now that I am a Junior and I have focused on my school work I have mainly all A's and have gotten academic awards for math, science, and so on. My GPA has gone up and it will continue to throughout the school year. This past year for varsity volleyball at Bishop Lynch High School we won the State Championship for our third time in a row, we also went undefeated in district and all the way to state. Currently I play at Skyline on the National 16 Black Team, my Coach is Mark Flores, which again, I won nationals with. We got 1st in the USA division this year at the Girls Junior National Championship tournament 2015. Lastly, I am currently a member is the National Society of High School Scholars. My school team, Bishop Lynch varsity, just won our fourth state championship in a row for TAPPS 5A, which makes us #4 ranked out of all schools in Texas. I started on Varsity this year as a Junior and received player of the game for the Semi's game and received All-District 2nd Team for the 2015 season.
