I have always wanted to attend college and become an Obstetrician-gynecologist(OB-GYN) as that will make me feel as if I have conquered a goal to pursue my purpose in life. In school I am an overachiever I love to out work others, get the highest grade on every test, quiz, homework, or even just a worksheet. I love to help teachers and even students; I just love to be the person anyone could call on for even the smallest thing that needs assistance.
I have played up an age level for the last three years on my club team. I am a Setter, Middle Blocker, and Opp Hitter. Over the years I have realized that energy is the key to volleyball! Yes, defense wins games…. Yes, a kill can get you a point but, the small words such as “hey, that was a great spot” or “nice pass” could get your team further than ever. I have learned several lessons about volleyball and being energetic and knowing how not to take the game too serious is key!
I am looking forward to playing volleyball at a University or College that meets my academic and athletic goals. On the court I am an overachiever as well. I love to work hard, be the first to the gym, finish first in all drills, and even conditioning. I also love to encourage my teammates to work hard. I remind them that we are stronger as a team, everyone’s position is important, and the effort that they put into their role on the court matters more than anything.
