Thank you for taking the time to read about me. I have several areas in my life that differentiate me from others, and am proud to be different.
I love people, so I always wanted to work in a field that would allow me to help others. I feel the health field is a perfect fit for me, and have aspirations for medical school. I was allowed to take forensics as a sophomore, and was fascinated with dead bodies and crime scenes. I'd like to find a career that incorporates forensics in medicine.
My education began with homeschooling. Because of one on one teaching, I learned and mastered skills that many kids today aren't taught. After testing into a grade above, I went to a private, Christian school for a few years. It was there I began playing volleyball. Today I play on the varsity team at my high school as well as a club team. I was trained in the Great Lakes region to play several positions. After moving to TX, I found those clubs concentrate a little more on positions, so I mainly play outside hitter or right side. I tend to be a snob about wanting perfect sets at the net, so I'm working on that.
I also come from a religious background. I have been raised in a large family (I am second of four children), and we were taught to have morals, values, and high standards not only for ourselves, but for people we associate with. I have attended a religion class each year of high school. My freshman year I got up and was in religion class by 5:50 each morning, and going to high school directly after that. Due to club practice my sophomore year, I attended an evening class. Sometimes these are hard for me to do, but I know I will be glad I went all four years. I stay active with my youth group as well. We do community service projects which build friendships with the community and self esteem in the participants. I am grateful for the lessons I learn and believe that any religion, if it teaches you to be a better person and help others, is a positive influence.
I am a competitive person by nature and I want to win- on or off the court. I try to be an asset to the team I play with, and want to continue developing skills on the court, learning in the classroom, and giving back to the community. I hope you consider me to play for your team.
