Nicola Swenson '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Nicola Swenson. I’m a 5’9  MB/RS in the class of 2022. I play for Floresville High School and San Antonio Elite 171.  I’m a dedicated, hard-working student athlete. I see myself playing competitive college volleyball at the highest level while pursuing my education towards veterinary medicine. My education is as important to me as my love for the game. I am currently focusing on the ag and vet courses I can take throughout high school as well as staying on top of my core classes. Volleyball has taught me many things about myself. I’ve learned to consistently work for what I want, push myself when I catch myself slacking, and to keep fighting even through the low times. I work as hard as I can when I can to improve my athleticism and my competitiveness, I'm not one to give up so easy. I have a strong support system through my parents as well as my high school and club coach's. Volleyball has matured me physically and mentally through life lessons I use both on and off the court. As a MB/RS, I play with heart and fire. I like to compete and I love to win! I take responsibility to seize every moment and opportunity given to me. I would not settle for anything less for myself and for my team.
