It is my aspiration to be recruited by a school that sees the potential I have, not just as an athlete, but a student and a productive member of society. I've lived in the same house since I was born and attended the same schools since kindergarten. I would love to experience new people, cultures, places and most of all; climates. I have been influenced by my experiences with Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapists and my sister who is a Massage Therapist also working towards becoming a Physical Therapist, enough to think about majoring in Exercise Science / Kinesiology. I also have an interest in Forensic Science but not sure how I could turn Forensic Science into a personal business. I strongly desire to be in business for myself . The Culinary Arts is also a passion of mine. On a more personal note, I would really enjoy working with "At Risk Youths". What ever I decide to do, I am sure I am on the right path academically to meet the requirements of any program.
I currently have a 3.8 GPA and manage 2 AP and 3 Pre-AP classes in addition to school volleyball, club volleyball, and track. I am active in AVID which has helped me with my organizational skills and allows me to participate in the UV4C (United Voices for Change) Group helping make a difference in my school and community. I have been playing competitive volleyball for 8 years. I am the Starting Setter for my high school team playing 6 rotations. I play the same position 3-6 rotations for ACE 16UA Black. My hard work, dedication, and natural ability has earned me the honor of being named "First Team All District" and the recognition of "All Academic". My Coaches have commended me on my speed, quick thinking and reflexes in addition to being a Team Leader with the ability to accept competition as motivation. I believe I am only as good as the team. If we're all good, the team is good; in more ways than just winning. Speaking of Winning! We had a strong finish at the Colorado Crossroads Qualifier earning a USA Bid to the 2018 USA Girls Junior National Volleyball Championship this July in Detroit, MI.
I am grateful for the opportunities, experiences, travel, and friendships the sport of volleyball has given me. I appreciate all of the hard work and time my parents and coaches have invested in me to help me reach my goal of earning an education while playing volleyball. I am excited to see what the future has in store for me.
