Macey Austin '16 Recruiting Profile

I started playing volleyball only 4 years ago.  I think my relative newness to the sport drives my passion and keeps me from burning out.  I am a team player and I hate to lose more then I like to win.  I have gone from the third team in 7th grade to Player of the Week in the State of Texas for MaxPreps / AVCA in my Junior season.

I am a straight A student and I take mostly AP or Dual Credit classes.  No matter what I involve myself in I strive to be the best and give it my 100% effort.  I do not know what I want to major in college but I do enjoy Chemistry.

I have been truly blessed and I try to give back through my efforts at church, a mission trip to Oklahoma or a mission trip to Peru.

I feel that since I have been on all sides of the bench from being on the 3rd team to the featured player I will be better prepared than most for the ups and downs of playing in college.
