"Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard."
This is something that I have always believed in. Hard work has gotten me to where I am today and I wish to attend a college where every time I leave the gym, I know I've learned something not only as a player, but as an individual as well. I understand that success doesn't come easy and you must learn from defeat. The true measure of success is how many times you can fall down but continue to get back up.
In everything I do on and off the court my work ethic is always 110% and I enjoy not only seeing myself improve, but also my teammates. A team as a whole can win a game, NOT an individual. I work to be the "fire" of the team and maintain a positive attitude no matter the score.
At school, I work hard to maintain a high average in all my classes. Discipline to get my work done along with my work ethic has given me the ability to balance school and volleyball. As for what I would like to major in college, I am very interested in sports medicine and training. I would love to attend a college where I can excel in volleyball at a competitive level and continue to further my education.
