Hi,
My name is Mariah Chanowski. I am a senior at Garrison ISD, in East Texas. I love playing sports, and I compete year-round. I play volleyball and softball, and I throw discus for our track team. This past spring I had the privilege of throwing discus at our regional track meet. I have played on varsity teams since my sophomore year. Volleyball is by far my favorite sport to compete in, and I am excited to play at the next level! I am a competitor, and I push myself and my team to work hard and to show up at every game ready to play.
In addition to sports, I love spending time with my family and my church community. In fact, I had the privilege of going on my first mission trip this summer to Puerto Rico! I really loved serving in Ponce PR, an underserved community. I hope to go on many more mission trips!
Academics are also very important to me. I am an A/B student with a high GPA. I am currently enrolled in a number of college courses and when I graduate in the spring I will have accrued 15 college credit hours. This past year I also earned my CNA license as part of the HOSA program at our school.
Thank you for taking a few moments to learn a little about me. I look forward to hearing from you.
Mariah
