Sarah-Madison Mayberry '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I am Sarah Mayberry, and I am a Class of 2022 Libero/DS from Canyon Lake, Texas. I play with SA Force, 18 Darkside and am on the Varsity Volleyball with the San Antonio Saints VB Team.   I can and do play all around,  but my primary position is Libero (because I love the adrenaline) and outside hitter.  I’m 5'7" and have a 9'2" approach jump, and I’m wicked fast. I have a 4.0 GPA, have taken multiple AP/Pre-AP classes, and scored a combined 1210 on the SAT. I am taking the ACT in July.

I was only introduced to the game of volleyball the summer before my freshman year, but I quickly realized I absolutely love the game of volleyball. I love being part of a team and overcoming challenges to capture success during the season. 

One of my strongest attributes is my philosophy of servant leadership and the understanding that the best teammate is one who plays for the good of the team, rather than good of the individual.  I show up every day to play and play hard and to win, and love to be on a team of girls who feel the same. I am very much looking forward to continuing my volleyball journey while I pursue my academic goals. From that standpoint, I plan to pursue a degree in law with the eventual purpose of having a meaningful impact on our society.
