Jessica Jones '17 Recruiting Profile

My overall college aspiration is to become a school teacher. I find this career enticing because it allows me to help others succeed and encourage others to grow. In addition, I want to become the team captain of my college volleyball team. These ambitions coincide because of their central themes of  improvement and leadership. My goal in every play, game, and season is to improve myself and to be the best player I can be. I always want to push my limits and challenge myself because I find that my peak performances come about when I put in 150% effort. Volleyball has always been a big part in my life; I constantly look forward to playing my heart out on the court. In terms of leadership, I want to continue to improve as a leader as well. I am already the captain for my team, and I want to instill and continue to develop the lessons I've learned throughout my 3 years of volleyball. Above all else, I find that I am unique because I have a winning passion in my heart, I never give up or give in, and even if I am losing horribly, I make sure to fight for every last point. Volleyball is one of the greatest passions in my heart, and I long to continue it in college and see my goals come to fruition.
