My name is Destiny White.

I am a passionate volleyball player, continually striving to enhance my skills and performance on the court. Known for my strong work ethic, I am a dedicated team player who is both coachable and adaptable to changing situations. 

Throughout my volleyball career, coaches have entrusted me with leadership roles, relying on me to guide the team both on and off the court.

As a highly motivated student-athlete eager to rejoin a team, I bring a unique set of skills to the middle blocker position. Despite my smaller stature, I am a formidable competitor, capable of securing a starting position through my strong blocking abilities. My explosive playing style, coupled with a growth mindset, defines me as an impactful middle blocker.

One of the most significant highlights of my volleyball journey has been learning to overcome adversity.  I have developed resilience, enabling me to recover quickly from setbacks. I take pride in my ability to execute decisive plays that propel my team toward playoff and conference victories. I am confident that my versatility and experience would be valuable assets to a collegiate program.

After my first year with Cumberland University, I took a gap year to prioritize my mental health, during which I focused on personal well-being and growth. This period allowed me to return to the sport with renewed energy and commitment.

Recognizing the financial commitments associated with higher education, I am seeking a program that offers athletic aid to support student-athletes.
