My name is Rachael Messer and I'm a senior at Plano Senior High School, graduating in 2019. My main position is setter, and I also play right side (#4). I currently play for Blocksport on team 18 National.
I have been team captain for 5 seasons and constantly push myself to be the best player I can be. This past season has been my best season in terms of improvement by far and I would love to show you why I have what it takes to be a collegiate student athlete. If I could play volleyball in college it would be a dream come true. It would allow me to continue playing the level of volleyball I would like and give me a chance to increase my skill level as much as possible. Playing in college would be an amazing opportunity to get to know new people and develop great relationships with new players and coaches.
My GPA is a 3.12 and based on my strengths and interests I think I may want to major in architecture.
I have been actively involved in my church my whole life. Since 6th grade I’ve been in the youth program, singing in the choir and band and going on mission trips and choir tours every summer. I’ve done lots of volunteer work with other groups in my church and community as well.
