Megan Gonzales '22 Recruiting Profile

From the age of seven when I first started playing and my mother was my coach, she instilled in me that I am strong, never give up, and to always believe in myself.  The love of the game, the comradery of the team, and the thrill of competition is what I live for. I am very competitive in nature and I strive to give 110% whether I am on the court or in the classroom.

When I am not on the court I do spend my free time pushing myself and my limits in such activities as swimming, training in the gym and mud runs. Mud runs are usually about 5k through mud and about 10-15 obstacles. I have completed the Muddy Princess 5k, Terrain Race 5k (twice) and I am proud to say that I have completed my 1^st Tough Mudder with my mom in May 2019.  9 Miles of muddy terrain and 25 obstacles!

I also give back to my community through volunteering with San Antonio Pets Alive and the San Antonio Food Bank. I also love to help babysit in my local community.
