I can play all positions in VOLLEYBALL!!!
I have found that growing up on a farm has influenced me greatly. It has taught me sacrifice, hard work and how to think outside the box. My father and brothers have been a huge part of who I am competitively. I play or have played all nearly every sport. What I enjoy most is the TEAM, the COMPETITION and the FAMILY, that develops on and off the court as we work together to obtain our goal, TO WIN.
On the farm I grew up learning to be selfless and dedicated. I have applied the same mindset to me volleyball game.
I found interest in volleyball at young age. Being at a rural school at the time, pre-k thru 12th, I looked forward to junior high to play volleyball as I watched the older girls play . Once in 6th grade I was able to start and that is when I realized that volleyball would take priority over softball, basketball, and track. At this time I still run track (the 400 open at 63.5 sec and 100/200 relay) while playing Club volleyball in the off season.
Loving sports and competing I learned early on the importance of my education from my parents and coaches I grew up with. With that being said my first goal ideally would be to obtain the courses necessary to receive my RVT (registered veterinary technician) certification within the first two college years. Once obtaining my associates in veterinarian technology (applied animal science), I would like to continue my volleyball career while studying for a Bachelors degree in Veterinarian Medicine or Animal Science while working as an RVT.
However, I do realize I am limited to schools that offer this program., but I find that having my RVT experience While obtaining my bachelors would be advantageous. It would allow me to work as a RVT (get my hands dirty) and decide if I want to carry on my education to possibly become a Veterinarian .
While sports are my passion, as well as animals , I know the importance of my educational goals.
