2022 Highlights Personal Statement
My name is Clarissa Cordova, a 5'5 DS/libero from Waco, TX. I am currently a high school Varsity and Waco Lightning Club captain who seeks to excel in all aspects of my life. As a junior with a 3.5 GPA at Paul and Jane Meyer Public High School, I am dedicated to my academic and athletic goals. Volleyball has always given me a safe space since 7th grade, I find joy in reflecting on my progress through videos of my games and watching the people besides me grow as well. I've always loved the feeling of being a part of a team and helping individuals grow as people to better the team. Winning is a great feeling, but the process and growth are what truly matters. My favorite saying is "Always come back better than your best". In addition to volleyball, I have achieved athletic accomplishments in track 3x (regional qualifier), cross country (state qualifier), and varsity soccer.
