Keegan O'Connor '22 Recruiting Profile

My college goals are to attend a college with a strong health science program .  I am a good candidate for a college team because I am an extremely hard worker, I never give up, I am vocal and a team leader, and I am encouraging to my teammates.  I am dedicated to the sport of volleyball and always play to my full potental.  I stand out from others because winning doesn't mean everything to me as long as I learn something from my mistakes and grow. I focus on continually growing as a person, student, and athlete and set the bar high for myself.  I am able to hide my emotions very well on the court, very rarely showing disappointment or discouragement. I don't allow my mistakes to get the best of me as I just want to progress forward.  I am a positive person anyways and I bring that energy to the court. It's a team sport so you all have to come and work together, no one wins or loses individually. I am smaller in stature yet fiery as I've always had to prove myself being the smaller and younger player, in addition to being the 4th child of 4 kids in my family.  I am a very competitive person and live my life that way.  My mental strength, intelligence, confidence, and endurance help me be the best libero/DS I can be. I am coachable as I am respectful and listen, following through on the advice given to me. All of these traits carry over into the classroom as well.  I have already earned 12 high school credits , am in National Junior Honor Society, have a 4.11 weighted GPA, am ranked 21/593  in my class, and am in all Pre-AP core classes currently. I also tested into and am participating in a College Academy program in which I am currently taking dual credit college classes.  At the end of the day, I just want to be the best "me" I can be in all aspects of my life.
