I have been drawn to competitive sports from an early age, and I believe my hours in the gym fine tuning my skills while playing 2 sports, has allowed me to flourish as a middle in volleyball. I have played on a travel basketball team since I was 7 years old with some amazing athletes, with many that will play at the next level. “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another”, this statement is what pushes me to make an impact on my team. In order to make yourself better-there is a mutual benefit in making others better through mentorship, fellowship, and leadership on and off the court. As my passion grew towards concentrating solely on volleyball, so did my drive to become the most versatile player I can be through competing in school, club, and sand volleyball. I went to USAV Jr. Nationals in club as a 15-year-old and USAV Beach Sand Nationals as a 16-year-old.
I have been in GT and advanced honors classes throughout my life and feel that I would be an asset to any collegiate program as a student athlete. I have been mentored by my cousin who played volleyball collegiality, and is now a graduate in engineering and I would like to follow in her footsteps. I am excited to be a part of a volleyball program and university where I can continue to improve and compete.
