Brianna Wright '21 Recruiting Profile

After hitting my first kill, a free-ball kill during my first game in 6th grade, I fell in love with the game of volleyball. Now, all I want to do is to stay on the court as long as possible. I love the competition, quick pace, and mental strength needed to play this sport. I want to be able to compete with top-notch athletes; I know I have what it takes to play in college.  I am a strong leader and presence on the court, I give 100%, I stay positive, I encourage my teammates, and I am vocal while playing with my teammates on the court. I am always willing to try and improve on any aspect of the game to become the best I can be with the help of my coaches. 

Not only am I dedicated to volleyball, but I am also an enthusiastic student. I have a high GPA, take AP and honors classes, and am enrolled in the Science and Medicine Academy at Deep Creek High School. I want to graduate from college with a degree in Marine Sciences or Pre-Veterinary studies. I have the ability to balance academics and athletics. Currently, I am in the Chamber Orchestra at Deep Creek High School, in National Honor Society, in Scouts of America, play school and travel volleyball, and help take care of my three younger siblings. Thanks to this, I am confident that I have determination to play college volleyball and balance academics while playing, and I would be a fantastic addition to any college team.
