I started playing volleyball when I was in fourth grade and haven't stopped since. It has been hard at times but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Over the years I have played every position, and currently play all the way around on both my high school and club teams. I set and play outside for my high school team, and set and play right side for my club team. This past season I had to recover from a trauma injury to my right thumb. While taking the net down my thumb got caught in the wire attached to the poles and was degloved. I had a two reconstruction surgeries, two months of recovery time, and lots of physical therapy. I was back playing with my team eight weeks from my accident. It was a very uncertain and scary time but I am great full that it happened. It gave me so much more determination on and off the court. Having a positive attitude was key to recovery and getting back on the court with my team. I think this experience makes me different than other recruits. I am a determined hard worker, and will always give you my best.
