Personal Statement

I want to play volleyball in college because it is a once in a lifetime opportunity and it gives me the chance to play at a high level. Being a part of the volleyball community has truly taught me what it means to be part of a team. I have been playing club volleyball for 6 years and am greatly in love with the sport. It has built me into a leader and shaped me into who I am today.

I am a versatile player. I am a setter/pin for  club volleyball and setter/OH for my high school team. I am a hardworking, determined, and driven volleyball player. Every game I walk in confident and ready to play analyzing the teams we are about to face. I am  most definitely a leader on the court, I believe that being a leader means to pick your teammates up when they are down and to make sure the team is working together. I never make excuses for my mistakes and leave that point in the past and focus on the next one. I am also very coachable, whenever my coaches give me a correction or feedback I keep it in my mind and automatically apply it. I do not shy away from tough coaching, I know that it will make me better to be able to play at the next level. In practice, and games I give my play 110% making sure I leave it all on the court. I also work on my development and volleyball IQ outside of practice and games to get better at my sport.

My ultimate goal is to play competitive volleyball at the collegiate level. I am open to divisions I,II, and III. Playing in college would mean that I could play with and against the best, which can help make me the best volleyball player I can be. I understand that playing at this high of a level takes grit but I am willing to put my blood, sweat, and tears into this process. I have confidence that I would be an asset to your program.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
