My name is Victoria Donovan and I'm a 5'11" pin hitter with middle blocker experience. I'm in the class of 2022 at Washington-Liberty High School and am a captain on the varsity team. I previously attended Kella, High School where I was on the varsity team three years, winning the Virginia State Championship in 2019 and placing 2nd in the State Championship during the 2020/21 season. Academically I currently have a 4.2 weighted GPA and partake in a challenging course load with AP classes.
My collegiate goals and aspirations include environmental career paths. I also hope to create lasting friendships with my academic and volleyball peers. I want to experience new challenges both in school and sports. Another goal and aspiration is to push myself to improve my time management and work ethic.
I am a good candidate because I am a good team player. I set high standards as a personal responsibility to support my teammates in our successes and failures. Also, I work my best to apply coaching advice and improve my skills whenever I am playing, focusing on the things needed to better the team. Whenever I am playing, whether game or practice, I put in the full effort and never quit. I put my heart and soul into this sport. I find so much joy in volleyball and love everything about it from practice to playing.
I put in extra practice for volleyball and studies for school to make sure I understand the subject and the game. I do personal conditioning to prepare for volleyball and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
I come from a military family. I have 5 siblings. We frequently move around the nation. I feel I am comfortable adapting to new environments.
I look forward to the opportunity to show off my skills.
