2023 SpotlightPersonal Statement
Hi! I’m Katie. In college, I want to follow in the family footsteps and major in cybersecurity and information technology like my parents and brother. I find that coding and development are areas I especially enjoy because they focus on looking for out of the box solutions to problems. In volleyball I want to play at a high, competitive level that values the grind. The perfect school for me will be one where everyone on the team lives for leg day and drills on the court.
What makes me different is my hard work and ability to overcome any challenge in my life. For example, I have a learning disability, but I have been able to get good grades in harder classes even though I have those challenges. I like to think of it as having a different perspective on life instead of a disability though. I look forward to accomplishing my goals but I enjoy chasing them just as much as meeting them.
I can’t wait to talk to you about what we can do together!
