My name is Iasa Atimalala, and I've been playing volleyball since I was 11. My main positions were Outside Hitter and Defense specialist. I enjoy playing both positions.
My freshmen year I played Junior Varsity as an outside hitter, our team was not as successful. My sophomore year I was a starting Outside Hitter for Junior Varsity for Auburn Riverside . Junior year I played Junior Varsity again as Riverside's starting Outside hitter. I played both front row and back row, that season we won our league championship, with an undefeated season.
For club, I was an Outside Hitter and I was an all round player. This past season, I was an Outside hitter my 3 step approach was 9'0 when I last measured (VERT). We had a successful club season running a 5-1 , and I really enjoyed playing the sport I love with the people I love.
While my passion is volleyball, I also enjoy singing, spending time with family, and helping others. In my future I not only want to help the people that are close to me, but reach out a helping hand to others in need. I want to major in psychology to become a social worker, so I will be able to reach out and lend a helping hand to children who are in need.
My favorite volleyball experience thus far would be when I became captain for my JV team and leading them to a League championship, becoming a captain for my club team and breaking a record for our club team and winning state.
One of my goals is to play volleyball in college. I know my hard work , dedication and integrity will help me be an asset to my team.
