Chelsea Prescott '21 Recruiting Profile

I was always taught to do my best and not think of myself or others poorly throughout my life from my best supporters, my parents. I learned from an early age that the winning power of a team is through teamwork and not the individual accomplishments of a single player. Therefore, I would not say that I am better than someone else, but I do believe I can bring a set of skills to the team and do my best to make it better. I love the game of volleyball and playing with a team. I'm eager to step up to the next challenge and meet new people!

I started playing sports when I was four playing little league baseball and I have been a multi-sport player ever since. I played club volleyball (strong outside hitter) and two years of Babe Ruth League baseball (taking second in State and moving on to Regionals). During High School I played three sports (volleyball, softball and basketball) and made the varsity team my freshman year in all three. Two trips to State Tournaments during high school, so far, once for volleyball and once for softball.

Academically, I have improved my GPA every year while being a multi-sport player, ending with a 3.8 my junior year earning an academic award for high GPA.

My possible goal for a career path is to work with exotic animals through medical care, rehabilitation and release back to their natural habitat. To get to that goal, I believe I need to follow a path of veterinary medicine first and work my way to a higher level of care. My other possible goal is to take over a family friend business eventually, I am currently working for that business. I will be looking to take some business classes for easier understandings for this possible route.
