Personal Statement

The raw competitiveness of the sport, the sincere commitment of the players and the athletic challenge are just some of the attributes that has attracted me to the sport of Volleyball.  Since the age of twelve, I have played Volleyball. Volleyball has provided me more than just an athletic conduit for achievement, the sport has provided me focus, a future and a family.  Shortly after beginning my commitment to the world of Volleyball, I realized my aspirations quickly focused themselves toward competing at a collegiate-level.

I have quick movement on the court, which allows me to thrive in receptions as a Libero and a Defensive Specialist.  I also have an effortlessly-effective serve, which oftentimes paralyzes the opposition.  Unwaveringly dedicated to victory, I am constantly heard on the court calling commands and uttering words of encouragement to my teammates, as my focus is victory.  Constantly seeking self-improvement of my Volleyball skills from coaches and peers alike, both for the betterment of myself and the team, I am one of the hardest workers you will ever meet.

My athletic accolades include the following: two championship titles, while playing on my high school Junior Varsity team as a Freshman; Most Valuable Player award on the Junior Varsity team; achievement or Varsity as a Freshman and Sophomore; and a certificate of excellent during my volleyball tenure in Japan.

In the classroom, I am a dedicated to achieving and maintaining a high GPA.  If I am challenged with a particular academic topic, I study, research and strive to achieve full understanding of the topic.  I am, and forever will be, a lifelong learner and avid seeker of knowledge.

I want to attend a college where I can be challenged both academically in the classroom and athletically on the court.  I am open to all collegiate options but want to be clear about one aspect, I want to find the college that is prepared to utilize my assets on the court.  If I am granted the privilege of attending your school, I will tirelessly work to accomplish superior grades in the classroom and bring forth victory on the court.

Finally, I hope to become a role model to my peers and make my parents proud.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
