Mya Gerlach '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Mya Gerlach. I am a 17-year old junior at Eau Claire Memorial. I started my passion for volleyball in 7th grade when my friends convinced me to join the middle school team. Since that first year, I've been pushing myself everyday to become a better athlete. Once I officially started to pursue volleyball, I fell in love with how competitive it was. In 9th grade I made junior varsity 2 and continuously pushed myself to get better. Now, in 11th grade I'm on varsity with a short season due to covid. It is disappointing that we aren't having a full season but I'm proud of everything my team has accomplished this year so far. Throughout my past years in volleyball I've strengthened and become very confident in my my team and communication skills. Everyday I push myself along with my team to become the best athletes we can be.
