I want to become an Occupational Therapist; I hope to go to college away from home, and play volleyball.
I am not the person that likes to deal with drama or get involved in it. With that being said, I want to be on a team where there is little to no drama. I have enough drama going on in my life with my parents divorce and it's really messy. In my personal life, social and school, I try to cut out all of the unnecessary drama because I don't have time to deal with it. I have much more important things to worry about. I used to be on a team that had a lot of drama and we did not get along and it showed on the court; we did not have good team chemistry. Now I am on a team with no drama and we have really good team chemistry and are making a lot of progress already in the beginning of our season. My team is very supportive of each other. One day I came to practice crying; it was a very emotional day for me because I had just found out my dad wasn't going to be taking me to my tournaments in Kentucky and Florida. They all came and hugged me, and even though it made me cry harder it felt good because I felt wanted. I am a very hard worker. I work as hard as I can and put all of my effort into what I am doing. I am not the one that's naturally smart and gets all A's. I am an average student but I work really hard in school to try to get good grades. My grades might now show how hard I am working but my weakness is tests and quizzes. I am not a good test or quiz taker and they really way down my grades. But, I am a very organized person and I get my work done on time. I don't let many things distract me when it comes to school and volleyball because I am so focused on where I want to get in life. I have a very busy life because I am constantly working on improving my game and working really hard in school to get the best grades that I can. I work very hard in everything I do. I do not let many things distract me like boys or even my parents divorce. I stay very focused on what needs to get done. That's the type of person I am.
I don't like to talk about myself but here it goes. I have many of the same qualities as other athletes such as starting on varsity since my freshman year and making Second Team All Conference twice in a row, but I do have some qualities that separate me from others. I am ambidextrous. It's really helpful to me because I can do everything with both hands. For example, if the set is really far off or the ball is on the other side of my body taking me to the left I will just switch hands without even thinking about it, I just do it.
