Personal Statement

I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed.”

                                                                                                                Michael Jordan

For half my life, I have played volleyball.   My goal is to play at the next highest competitive level that I can in college while furthering my education.  Like basketball for Michael Jordan, volleyball is a sport filled with failures but it also creates opportunities if you focus your goals on winning.  I like to believe, I’m a proven winner!

For Club last year, because of my athleticism and our team dynamics, I played a six rotation OH as well as OH for High School.  My comfort zone is back row where I can hit and read the court and the ball which makes me a great defensive player.  Coaches at every level I've played expressed my skill set as:

  • High Volleyball IQ
  • Positive Attitude
  • On Court Leader
  • Great Work Ethic

As I have learned more and more about myself and my desire to play volleyball in college, I realized it’s not all about athletics.  It also includes team chemistry, my coach, my teammates and our combined goal to work hard and be selfless.

Life is a journey and I’ve learned something valuable at every level I’ve played.  I look forward to including new teammates and new coaches in that journey!

“Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.”

                                                                                                                John Wooden

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
