My name is Megan Cannon and I am entering my junior volleyball season this fall 2016 as a setter/right side. I am a 5'10" three sport varsity athlete at Luxemburg Casco High School in Wisconsin. In my sophomore season, I was named first team all-conference setter, honorable mention all-area setter, and all-state academic team. I have played club volleyball for the Wisconsin Volleyball Association Flyer's satellite team for the past 4 years as it allows me to balance my other sports with my love of volleyball. My goals for this upcoming season are to push my team to be the best team we can be, and to make a run at state. My long term goals are to obtain my degree and to play competitive college volleyball at the highest level I am capable.
I have played club & tournament basketball, soccer & volleyball since grade school and have dreamed of becoming a college athlete. It has been this past year, though, where I have realized that volleyball is my passion. I am a driven student who has an understanding of what I want my future to look like as I explore a healthcare career. With my school teams, club teams, academic load & youth ministry, I have learned that I focus and succeed when I am constantly challenged to work hard to improve, budget my time, and when I love what I do. I currently hold a 3.91 GPA, am also a class officer, and was inducted to the National Honor Society this past year. I want to attend a university with both a strong academic and athletic reputation, and I am very open to locations.
I am looking for a school that has as much interest in me, as I have in them. I am interested in pre-professional programs like physical therapy, pharmacy, medicine or physican assistants and I am very interested & willing to relocate anywhere in order to have the best college experience possible. Thank you for taking a look at my profile, and I hope to hear from you soon! I welcome any and all feedback! Thanks!
