I have plans to attend college and major in Business Management or Computer Science to pursue a career in the Insurance industry. In school, I am a student that enjoys challenging myself academically especially by taking many of the technology courses offered. I am looking to play for a college that meets both my academic and athletic goals so I can be prepared to take on life and chase my dreams.
On the volleyball court, I am an excellent team player who understands that the team comes before any individual. Being a starter the past three high school volleyball seasons at the varsity level, I understand that supporting each teammate on and off the court is what makes the difference between winning and losing. I am a setter for my club team, but am also known for my aggressive defensive skills and speed on the court.
I learned mental toughness this past high school season as I broke my left arm going for a dig at our first match which enabled me to embrace a supportive role on our team. My focus on having a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and love for the game is what gave me the ability to return to the court the same day my cast was removed. Since I missed most of my high school season I made the decision to play up at the 18's level to improve my skills and challenge myself both physically and mentally.
One of my best character traits is my high energy level, I can't wait for our next game or tournament to see how our team has improved. I am known for my consistency and all around aggressive play on the court. My competitive nature keeps me pushing myself to improve my play every practice and every game. I believe you play like you practice so never let an opportunity to improve yourself pass you by.
