From the moment I picked up a volleyball, I knew this would be my life's passion. As I played more, it became an addiction. I have been playing volleyball since I was 10, and it has always been a huge part of my life. I've always had it in my mind that I wanted to play volleyball in college. My goal for collegiate volleyball is to play as an outside hitter or a DS at an NCAA or NAIA college. I am currently a six-rotation outside, but I would love to play any position. A 5'10" libero may seem unconventional, but my athleticism shines through when I play. I have played every position besides setter. I would also really love to major in biology with a possible minor in either engineering or genetics. My goals for the rest of my high school academic career is to keep my 3.8 and strive for a 4.0. I would also really love to receive an award in high school volleyball and academics. I believe that I would be a great fit for any college team because I have repeatedly joined different teams and I have been flexible and an asset to those teams no matter where I have been put. When I was 15, I finished my season with the 16 Nationals team for my club, Wisconsin Ice Volleyball Club. I was told to not expect much of this and that it would be a really cool experience and that I would be a backup outside hitter. We only had seven people the first day of our tournament, so I played all the way around. After the first day of my first tournament with them, I became their libero. I then fell in love with playing back row. I acclimated well and soon after that, I was playing against some of the best volleyball players in the country while succeeding tremendously. Volleyball has changed my life in many ways. It has taught me how to manage my time, make friends quickly, and it also brought me out of my shell. I was a very quiet girl when I was younger, but now, I constantly talk, and I owe that to volleyball. I am an athletic, communicative spark plug when I play, and I think my love and passion for the game sets me apart from other recruits. I love the aches and pains that I get after two-a-day practices. I love the bruises and floor burns that I notice after the match is done. I love dripping sweat and working hard. I am a great choice for many college volleyball programs around the country and I will always give 110%.
