Hello, my name is Amelia Albers and my goal is to go to a great college and play some volleyball! I am a fast and athletic libero with a lot of versatility. I’m currently ranked 27th in the state of Wisconsin for class of 2023, and 5th for DS/Liberos in the state. I am honored to be named to the 2022 JVA Watch List. My Capital Adidas club team was one of the top teams in the state last year (16 Adidas), winning every tournament we competed in during the club season except taking second in one. We hope to continue that success this club season as Capital 17 Adidas. I was proud to be voted MVP for my high school team, as it’s always a goal of mine to bring positive energy as well as skill to the court. With the pandemic, my high school and club seasons saw delays and adjustments. But it motivated me to train even harder through camps, clinics, showcases, and any other opportunity I could find to get back on the court. This experience has made me value the sport even more, and I will bring this same determination to any college volleyball program. I am also a strong student and really look forward to the college experience—I would love for volleyball to be part of it.
