My aspirations for college revolve around my academic strengths and personal interests of science, math, and the arts. I would like to pursue a degree in physical therapy or occupational therapy. These programs combine my love of science with my desire to stay close to the sports I have grown up with and love. I first started playing volleyball during my 5th grade year, with school and club. My competitive nature tempered with an empathetic personality have made me a supportive teammate and a steady, solid leader. I hold a high standard for myself in academics and how I live my life, and enjoy helping others reach their goals, as well. I am an enthusiastic teammate on and off the floor, always looking for ways to improve my game and increase the success of my team. I specifically like to push myself and others to be "smarter" players on the court. I have the ability to play most positions on the court, and being 5'7", I have to make sure to utilize all my abilities to find that "one" spot, or weakness that lets my team win the point. One of my strongest qualities is that I am voracious in my pursuit to learn something useful from every situation. I believe that my drive to not let the ball hit the floor impacts both my teammates and my opponents. I am fearless when going after a play. I know there is no ball that I cannot make a play on and I want them to know that, too. Volleyball has helped me develop as a person, to become a better leader, to learn how to prioritize and utilize my time, to build some wonderful friendships and to satisfy a bit of my love to travel. It is important to me to play in a competitive program with integrity, that has the proper life balance, and allows me to continue with my faith journey.
