Personal Statement

My interest in volleyball started from a young age, as my parents signed me up to play in rec leagues while in elementary school.  We quickly realized my passion for the sport pushed me to be more competitive, and I joined my first club team at the age of 11, and continue to play club ball today.  In my middle school I played for three undefeated seasons, winning the conference championship in each season.  As a Freshman at Nathan Hale High School I was made a varsity starter.  The intensity of play at this level pushed me to grow quickly as a player and I learned to communicate with all my teammates, with whom I became close friends. We pushed each other to grow, and in my Sophomore and Junior years I was awarded the role of co-captain.

I am currently a middle hitter on the 17-1’s team at Next Level Volleyball Club. I have always enjoyed the competitive nature of club season, and the opportunities to compete in higher level tournaments and with older age groups. I always look to push myself and love seeing collegiate athletes play, looking for new techniques I could apply to my game. I always work to communicate with my teammates and coaches in a positive way to improve my skills and be the best leader I can be.

Because of my love of volleyball, I wish to continue to play at the collegiate level.  Academically I always strive to do the best that I can, and I intend to continue to achieve in my educational pursuits. I am able to adjust quickly to change, and use my time wisely to accomplish my goals. I work to improve myself, and will ask questions or for help when I am struggling to make improvements on my own. I am a hardworking teammate who loves to support my volleyball family in a positive and encouraging way.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
