Lily Verna '22 Recruiting Profile

Playing competitive club water polo in Southern California since a young age and the experience of the competitive high school water polo in my region has prepared me to move on to the next level in competition. I am very motivated to be part of a collegiate team. 

I am a very serious student and have been able to maintain a high GPA with challenging classes while balancing the demands of contributing to both my water polo and swim teams as a varsity athlete in both sports since freshman year. 

I feel I would be a valuable addition to a college team because I am very driven, even having been awarded the coach's award for my hard work, dedication, and attitude.  I am very coachable and enjoy learning and continually improving in my sport and as a person. I am strong and effective on offense with speed that allows me to be a factor in the game.  On defense I am skilled at stealing the ball, which leads to successful counterattacks.
