My aspirations and goals for college are to play for a Division I school so that I can compete with the best collegiate golfers in the nation. I feel this will bring out the best in me both on the course and in the classroom. I really enjoy being part of a team. As a member of a team, I give my all and lift others up if they are down. I have a good sense of humor that can bring a smile or laugh to others even on a bad day. Last year I was the only Freshman to play regularly as part of my high school varsity golf team and I was successful in building strong team relationships. I had an amazing Jr PGA Team experience several years ago competing as part of the Orange County All-Star team that advanced to the Western Regional Tournament at Chambers Bay.
This year I have won four junior golf events, two in Southern California and two in Indiana. I also qualified for the California Junior Amateur Championship and earned my spot on the California Jr PGA Toyota Tour Cup, the highest level of golf competition in Southern California.
Academic success is also very important to me when looking at which college to attend. I have maintained a 3.9 adjusted GPA while spending countless hours improving my golf game. My sophomore school year just started. I have teachers that are energetic and enthusiastic and already I am even more motivated to excel academically.
