Personal Statement

My name is Morgan Weldon, and I want to be on your team! I am currently a Senior at Exeter Union High School, in Exeter California. I hold the starting varsity goalie position on the Varsity Girls Water Polo team; I also swim for the Exeter Union High School's swim team. Last year, I was named Second Team all League in the Central Sequoia League and two years ago I received the award of Co-Defensive player of the year as well as First Team all League.

I have aspired to play college level water polo since I started playing at 12 years old. For 5 years I have been committed to the game. As a goalie, my teammates can always count on me for a cross-pool pass and help in identifying and anticipating plays. I am a very coachable player because I listen and respond well to criticism; I am one of the hardest working and respectful recruits you will find. The game of water polo is something I'm very passionate about, and I'm motivated to keep working and moving forward.

In college, I want to study neurology, and neuroscience; I am also interested in psychology. I currently hold a 4.5 GPA and I’m currently taking one AP class, two dual enrollment classes at my high school, and one dual enrollment class outside of my high school at my local community college. I would like to attend a school where I can grow as a player and as a student. I look forward to being a student athlete at the next level.

Thank you for considering me.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
